These are the facts
2020 Antrim Ski Academy Invitational
Date: Sunday, January 26, 2020
Location: Schuss Mountain, Shanty Creek Resort
Awards: Trophies for places 1-3, Medals for places 4-10 in each age group and gender
Age Groups: U6 (under 6), U8, U10, U12, U14, U16. Age is determined by racers age on 12/31/19. Please no “A” team high school racers.
Race Format: All age groups will have 2 runs each of SL and GS on “Good Knight” with combined times used for scoring. This is a change to prior years where U6 groups only raced GS. We would like to include them in SL this year.
Entry Fee: $15 per racer. This includes a t-shirt for racers and food tent.
Lift Tickets: $15 per racer, $15 per racer parent, $5 age 8 and under. 2 comp coaches’ tickets are included for each club. 2 comp gatekeeper tickets will also be provided to each club (see last paragraph).
Registration: Please register your club between 8:15 and 9:00 in the Day Lodge, same old place. We ask that 1 person check in there and pick up your club’s packet which will contain bibs, running orders, lift tickets, detailed schedule and t-shirts. Gatekeeper supplies for each team will be provided at coaches/gatekeeper meeting. Please bring one check for total costs.
Please use the attached spreadsheet to preregister your team. Enter info in all columns. Put an x in the lift ticket column and fees will total based on racer age. Please be accurate with requested parent and extra coaches tickets as additional tickets after morning registration will be full price. There will be no refunds for racers who DNS after registration. T-shirt orders for racers only please.

8:30 coaches meeting on deck of Day Lodge
8:40 gatekeepers meeting on deck of Day Lodge
9:00 lifts open
9:00 – 9:30 course inspection on “Good Knight” for all age groups. Girls inspect SL while boys inspect GS.
9:35 Forerunners on both courses
9:45 Race starts on “Good Knight”
Girls on SL, youngest to oldest, numerical bib order through all age groups run 1, and then repeat for run 2
Boys on GS, youngest to oldest, numerical bib order through all age groups run 1, and then repeat for run 2
Upon completion of first race, 30 mins will be allowed for inspection of courses, boys SL and girls GS. If a course reset is required, more time will be needed and start time will be announced.
Same format for second race. Girls GS, Boys SL, youngest to oldest for both runs.
Awards will follow ASAP after completion of the races. Awards will be presented at Ivan’s near the bottom of the blue chair lift.
ASA will provide a food tent for racers beginning at 11:00. There will be no official lunch break between races. Grab and go.
ASA will provide venue set up, course setting, timing and scoring etc. This year ASA asks for 2 volunteers from each visiting club to help with Gatekeeping. Comp lift tickets will be provided for gatekeepers, 2 per club. Gatekeeping stations will be assigned to particular clubs.
