When: Sunday, January 12, 2020.
Racers: Join us for the first race of the season! A good warm-up race for everyone.
For ages: U6 (under 6), U8, U10, U12, U14, U16. Max of 10 racers per age group, racers can move up to the next age group if spots are available. Please no varsity high school team or full time USSA racers.
Age is determined by racers age on 12/31/19.
Event: U12-U16 – GS & SL on Buck and Lower Gorge runs
U6 –U10 – GS & SL on Cheers To Lou run
Registration: Cost of the race is $15 per racer. Release form required, attached in email.
Please have one representative of your club pay and pick up race packet for your club.
Pay with one check from your club to “CCSC”. Registration for the race is between 8am-9am in the Crystal Center. Northwest Territory room can be used by teams to store bags and get ready.
There will food tables available just outside the NWT room, with extension cords. Please NO crock pots inside the Northwest Territories Room.
Lift Tickets: Purchase lift tickets from the Crystal Mt. lift ticket counter on the first floor of the Crystal Center (ticket and rental building). A list of participating clubs will be given to Crystal Mtn. Please make checks payable to Crystal Mountain.
Lift tickets are sold in a packet of 15 for $135 for racers which includes 2 coaches comp lift tickets.
Additional racer and parent lift tickets are $12 each. If you have less than 15 racers each lift ticket is $12. Please, one person from the club purchase all the lift tickets at one time.
Running Orders: Please send running orders in the excel spreadsheet attached to Steve Kermode, firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday, January 11th – NO later than 1pm.
Volunteers: We ask that each team provide 2 volunteers for the morning and 2 volunteers in the afternoon to assist in running a smooth race. Please provide volunteer names. Volunteers will be assigned positions at registration. Gatekeeper meeting at the base of Cheers at 9:30 am
8:00–9:00am Registration in Crystal Center, Northwest Territory room.
9:00am Lifts open and all racers inspect their course at this time.
9:30am Coaches and Gatekeepers meeting at the base of Cheers.
(CCSC Coach Chris Fisher is Chief of Race).
9:45am Courses close for inspection and Gatekeepers in position.
10:00am Race begins – Boys and Girls, Giant Slalom, youngest to oldest
12-12:45pm All Racers inspect your courses.
12:45pm Gatekeepers to their positions
1:00pm Race begins – Boys and Girls, Slalom, youngest to oldest
Awards follow completion of the races in Crystal Center
Individual Results Recognized:
Top 10 combined times in each age group male and female. 1st-3rd medals and 4th-10th ribbons.
Results will be announced in the Crystal Center, Northwest Territory room once results are tallied.
